If you know me, you know I love bikinis! I think they’re so comfortable, and there are so many options out there that it made deciding the best bikinis for travel difficult.
You’re going to do a lot more than just laying out and tanning in a lot of destinations. I love doing more adventurous activities, such as surfing in Bali, stand-up paddle boarding in Unawatuna, or snorkeling in Maui. This means I need bikinis that look cute and can stay on if I’m swimming in the ocean. The 7 brands I picked are tried and true, so read on for my best bikinis for travel.
Best Bikinis for Travel
L*Space is one of my go-to’s and especially for surfing, SUP, and wakeboarding. They are more conservative and full-coverage and are very quality suits that can hold up well. I have one that I’ve been wearing in India for five years.
2. Vitamin A
The suit in the pic above is my favorite from Vitamin A and I have it in black as well. They call this the “LBB – Little Black Bikini” because of how well it fits. It’s a classic!
3. Agua Bendita
Agua Bendita is a quirky eclectic brand that I’ve been wearing for six years. They are known for fun jungle prints, ruffles, and tiny Brazilian bottoms. If you see an Agua Bendita, once you own one, you’ll spot it right away.
4. Mary Grace Swim
Mary Grace Swim is a small company that I recently found on Instagram and got a few bikinis from. The flowy off the shoulder top above is my absolute favorite top that I have right now. The bottoms are pretty minimal.
Maaji bottoms are full coverage and they do a lot of unique tops that are also more like corsets or something and not great for getting the most sun on your body – but are so cute! Their prints are bold, colorful, and usually, you can spot that a suit is Maaji from afar.
PilyQ makes soft and delicate bikinis in the loveliest colors. They are runched bottoms or bare coverage and mostly string bikini tops and bottoms. I adore the blue one above!
7. Melissa Odabash
Melissa Odabash is a celeb favorite and they have mostly plain solid color swimsuits and the material is very luxurious. Since it’s a splurge, I went for a classic black that I knew I’d love for a long time. I wore it in Vegas and it was perfect. The bottoms are full coverage. I ended up getting one in red this year!
Don’t forget, the best accessories to bikinis!
I’ve already written a post on my favorite summer essentials, but here are some fun things you’ll want with your cute bikini.
